No article on our site seems to garner more response than More Tales From the Dark Side: The Strange Case of 'Rosemary's Baby Here we have yet another letter prompted by this thought provoking article:

I just wanted to respond to your article on Rosemary's Baby and the involvement Anton LaVey had with the production. He did not make a cameo appearance as the devil. Satan was played by an actor named Clay Tanner. And he was not a consultant for the film. His only involvement was that he attended the premiere in San Francisco.

Just thought you should know. LaVey didn't disappoint his followers as "the father of lies." Much that is written about his childhood and background is also false.

One of the most read articles in our archives is The Great Psychic Sweepstakes on psychic fraud Raylene Van Worth. Recently this article prompted this response:

Hi, there!  I just read your article about R.V.W.  I wish I had read the first article on psychic frauds as I fell for that line of crap.  Always willing to try something new, and unfortunately, I am too trusting.  I finally had my fill, (after a year of this) and sent her a letter just yesterday telling her just how I felt.  Today I decided to put her name on a search engine, and guess what?  All I found were RIPOFF AND FRAUD STORIES!  Wow, I feel like a real chump.  Oh, well...chalk another one up to experience!  Thanks for posting the article on the net, at least now I know I did the right thing by stopping the madness!

Thanks for listening to my rambling-have a Great Day!

This letter, a response to The Tragedy of Women and Alcoholism, came from a woman who discribed herself as "angry alcoholic":

My god the stereotypes you perpetrate on your website are frightening. Please don't ever step out of your middle class existance because you will find a big bad world out there and it will frighten you!!!!!

Yours truely
Rebecca

Finally, this email in response to Buddha and the Female Spirit came with the subject line "you r absolutly right, u rock!" That got our attention:

Dear Websight Owner,

I am writing to tell you that i believe you completely. My mother is Buddhist, and I always thought the same way you do about the religion. I myself belong to a pagan covenent, and believe you're on the right track. Equality is very important, and even after hundreds of centuries, we still have not fully acheived it, spiritually or worldly. Keep writing to the people, you matter a great deal.

Thankyou,
Lily Pad A.
