"Zen Living" - A New Video Guide to Life the Way Nature Intended
From acupuncture and meditation to organic foods and eco-friendly homes, a new show called Zen Living debuts as a virtual health and wellness center with tips and advice on how to make everyday living more balanced, natural and healthy. One of several new programs being introduced by ON Networks, Inc., Zen Living offers a guide to food, exercise, spirituality and medicine that combines old world know-how and ancient teachings with contemporary style and modern day living. In its first 12 episodes, Zen Living helps demystify issues such as macrobiotics, holistic preventative medicine and acupuncture for fertility, and provides information on the benefits of natural living, from building “green” homes to enjoying organic products, foods and fashion.
Each episode runs five to seven minutes and is hosted by Zen enthusiast Nicole Tomlinson, a long-time advocate of healthy nutrition and regular practitioner of Bikram yoga.
Zen Living is one of just a few original, professionally produced Internet TV shows selected by iTunes as a featured podcast and a featured video for Apple TV. Like all ON Networks shows, Zen Living is broadcast-quality video content originated in high-definition.
“The show is committed to demonstrating how everyday, time and cash strapped consumers can begin to make small changes for more healthful and eco-friendly living,” says Kris Pham, co-producer with husband Eric Pham of PhameFactory, a nationally recognized visual effects company whose credits include the movies Sin City and Spy Kids, among other productions.
“Zen Living provides practical and affordable food, home and medical tips that can be easily integrated into anyone’s day,” Pham says.
Unique among healthful living shows, each episode of Zen Living features authentic Asian teachings, practices and foods that have been proven effective for several generations. The episodes include narrative and on-screen information as well as Q&A interviews with experts who share their knowledge, tips and “how to’s” for living life the way Nature intended.
Zen Living’s inaugural episodes include:
- Cooking a Macrobiotic Meal
- What is Macrobiotic
- Asian Supermarket
- Building a Green Home
- Going Organic at Timpones Market
- Basic Acupuncture
Future episodes will cover holistic medicine, acupuncture for fertility, organic fashion, children’s gardening, compassionate kids programs, meditation, stress-free schools for children, and much more.
