New Graphic Novel Chronicles the Search for a Miracle Cure Plant
Marsha P. Johnson's stunning new graphic novel, Blue Elephants, Volume I: The Alpha Edition imagines a future where high-tech companies battle to procure the Blue Elephant plant, which produces a miracle cure drug that could change the world. Could a plant found in the ancient burial grounds of African elephants be the miracle cure for all of mankind's ills? In Marsha P. Johnson's graphic novel, Blue Elephants, two researchers go on an incredible journey to find out.
Based on Johnson's original screenplay, this first volume of the series is set in a disturbing future, where oil wars have devastated much of the civilized world. The world is now ruled by the Lumen Society, a group who took control and heralded a dawn of hope. But does the Lumen Society really have the planet's best interests at heart? And if the Blue Elephant plant is found, could this wonder drug be turned into a nightmare if it gets into the wrong hands and is used for the wrong purposes?
