Consumers are More Savvy When it Comes to Psychic Readings
Gone are the days when a woman dressed like a gypsy would have you look into a crystal ball to see your future. Modern day psychics now do readings over the telephone or the internet for millions of consumers each year. A recent look at trends in the psychic readings industry shows that consumers are much more educated and discerning when it comes to purchasing psychic readings now as compared to 20 years ago. Looking Beyond, Inc., a psychic readings company founded in 1989, recently asked some of its clients what they look for in selecting a psychic. "Customers are much more sophisticated now than 20 years ago," said Susan Page, founder and president of Looking Beyond, Inc. "The growing New Age movement and acceptance of psychics in everything from law enforcement to pop culture has really legitimized the industry. People want satisfaction guarantees; they want to make sure they really feel a connection with their reader. They require the 'Wow' feeling from that connection."
Page, a psychic herself, has 15 psychic readers at Looking Beyond. She says that she has hand selected each reader and personally tested them to make sure they know their craft.
"We are putting together a Best Practices policy for the industry. We offer our customers guarantees. They don't have to pay for a reading until they truly connect with their reader, even if it means talking to three different readers. And then after their reading, we offer them a five minute credit to give us feedback on our readers. We want to make sure that our customers are receiving value from our service and that we have the best, most accurate readers available."
