EDGE Publications, in partnership with the "Bay Area Reporter," today announced the official launch of EDGEsanfrancisco.com, a new online destination with news and entertainment serving San Francisco's gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.
New San Francisco Gay News and Entertainment Portal
A new site is aiming for gay visitors who live in the "Bagdad by the bay" area. EDGEsanfrancisco.com delivers eight major channels of information to its readers, including daily news, business & finance, weather, arts & entertainment, heath & fitness, style, sports and travel. Additional channels provide local coverage of nightlife, shopping, lodging, dining, plus a local business directory and calendar of events. The site joins a family of market-leading online publications currently serving readers in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Miami, Dallas, Ft. Lauderdale, Providence, Provincetown and greater New England.
"You simply can't create a gay news network without San Francisco," said EDGE Publisher David Foucher. "With our launch to this city, EDGE brings our unique blend of daily coverage to a whole new community -- and we finally become a true national network of portals for gays, lesbians, bisexual and transgender individuals."
The Bay Area Reporter, the largest gay and lesbian community newspaper in San Francisco, has partnered with EDGE to provide a variety of local news and entertainment coverage.
Tom Horn, publisher of the Bay Area Reporter, expressed his delight that his newspaper will be joining the EDGE network. "The Bay Area Reporter has the finest writers and critics in Northern California," he said. "We're happy to be the media partner for EDGEsanfrancisco.com, and we're happy to share our content with internet readers from all over America and the world."
