Posted on Sunday, April 06, 2008 - 02:00 PM

"Miles to Go" by Laurel-Rain Snow is the story of two women whose friendship helped them survive one of the most radical decades in American history.

Novel Follows Two Women Through the Dramatic Changes of the Sixties

Laurel-Rain Snow's page-turning Miles to Go is an intensely moving novel about love, loss and sisterhood, written by an author who lived through it all.

What was it like to live through the turbulent Sixties and revolutionary Seventies? Now, in her fourth exciting novel, Miles to Go author and retired social worker Laurel-Rain Snow tells the story of two extraordinary women whose unwavering friendship guides them through Kent State, the Vietnam War and more. These two friends believe they can change the world, but by the end of three decades, their lives take dramatic new directions, filled with tragedy, love and incredible transformation.

Loosely based on some of the author's own experiences during the Sixties and Seventies in San Francisco and Sacramento, Miles to Go is both a sensitive exploration of a remarkable time and a heartfelt look at the ties that bind two women together. Moving and memorable, the book is as unforgettable and vivid as those decades themselves.

The writer, Laurel-Rain Snow, is a retired social worker and the recipient of a Social Worker of the Year Award in 2000. She is also the author of three other novels, An Accidental Life, Embrace the Whirlwind and Chasing Stardust.
