Culture & Community: The "Summer of Love" Seen in a Prophetic Light

This article is a must read for anyone who's ever tried to figure out the significance of the "summer of love." Although we are pretty certain that Mr. Diamant hasn't discovered "the key" to understanding the events of 1967, we are equally as convinced that he's offering us a valuable piece of the puzzle.

To understand the actual significance of what occurred in San Francisco during the Baptism of Fire we underwent, who walked the street of a City which had never existed save in the kingdom of David and the kingdom of Camelot, now found that he who had once entered the Golden Gate in Jerusalem in the Name of the Lord in the Time of their Visitation came again with his Generation to enter another Golden Gate in the Name of Love; as the Name of God; as in the Name of Christ Jesus; as a Child into the Gate of the West; for the Name of the Lord from the West is Love.

Thus the Child who entered the Golden Gate in 1967 entered in the Name of Love; as the Name of God; thus this was the Name of Christ Jesus in his Day of his Visitation the Name of Love: for Love is Fire; and our God is a Consuming Fire for this reason; he is Love; the Mighty God!

That question I discovered, to which the answer came of the Lord God, is that the tale that begins the arrival of My Generation has to do with three cities; for the Time in which the Child in the Name of Love entered the Golden Gate had to do with another city and it's golden gate 1967 years ago: in Jerusalem. And Jerusalem in 1967 saw another visitation: of the time in which David took Zion with his army after going through the watercourse under the wall. Yet as David wrote later: "Better is he who ruleth his own spirit than he who taketh a city." Yet this was the "return" of the external "kingdom of David" in the 6 days war/ 144 hours and it's attendant "hatred." Yet Jesus took Zion with a Song; not a Sword; when he entered the Golden Gate on Palm Sunday; this was the internal course of the Providence.

In 1967 San Francisco had the Summer of Love; but in Jerusalem in 1967 another event happened in its other end of the spectrum: they took Jerusalem in the 6 Days War. The contradistinction between Love and Hate thus has two clear proponents: the one in America at the City of St. Francis with its Hippies; and for the other the City of Jerusalem with its Hagannah. But to understand this we would have to examine the two figures of Messianic expectation at the 430 years from the last prophet Malachi before John and Jesus showed up: the Son of Joseph and the Son of David; the "two messiahs."

One school of thought was waiting for "the Son of Joseph" as in the Day when Joseph; although under a foreign ruler and a false religion in prison for a false charge still managed to take over the prison and eventually end up running the Kingdom; thus this is a figure of the "internal providence" as taking the Kingdom "from the INSIDE;" as Israel did when Joseph was made the "de facto" ruler of Egypt; the enemy of Israel spiritually; thus was "a table set for Israel" in the midst of its enemies. Thus what the wiser heads in Israel were looking for in the Messiah was someone who would take Rome over from the inside through some incredible circumstance of "Revelation" as when Joseph told Pharaoh the Secret of the Dream; being the one his brothers had called "the dreamer." Yet by the "Revealing" of a dream to Pharaoh by God through Joseph as the mysterious way Joseph rose from prison to rule Egypt, thus these men of faith were those of the Essenes who studied the testimony and the prophets who were the Nazarenes; men of peace: and the "Revelation."

Those waiting in faith for the Messiah believed that God would set up Jesus to take Rome over from the inside or "within;" for Rome was known to be canny in trying to find men of unusual abilities and gifts to run its newly established Empire; but although the Roman pantheon was just a copy of the gods of Greece, those of Greece were similarly the "morphed" forms of the Egyptian pantheon that Greece had renamed in its own tongue; and Egypt is the great red dragon itself; "great in flesh" as a insatiable sensual soul of what the Egyptians called Night; which modern man calls "Space;" yet it is just the Shadow of Time; just as "Matter" is the Veil of Nature: the gods that Jehovah judged through Moses and his holy one Aaron. The Levites and the High Priest were thus to restore the angels and the archangel; which Rev. Moon never mentioned in his book Divine Principle; nor did he mention the Nazarites: who entered the kingdom as "the Elect" or "kings from the east" over the Jordan. They had taken vows unto the Lord: and they were not divided into the "over 20 and the under 20" like the rest were: they were holy unto the Lord.

For a clinical aside for those who seek to be reminded what others have already discovered I would say: "...As few students of Robert Graves know the 'gods' of the Egyptian Pantheon or Temple" were the enemies of the Light from the start; the Dragon is the creature who represents the kingdom of Egypt: the Kingdom of darkness: and Ignorance is the Power of Darkness; and Death is its Ruler or king who "ruled until Moses.". The Darkness thus has a history on earth whose origin goes back to Cain and his son Enoch: called Osiris and Thoth in the Egyptian theogony. Ra becomes Ares; Thoth becomes Mercury and so on. But in San Francisco in this time we see another figure arise: for the Greeks have another name for "Enoch"; the first City which Cain built and named after Enoch his son: but "Atlantis" is what Plato calls it when he was eavesdropping on the gods: before they realized they were being overheard: and stopped speaking. Thus in the Days of Noah we have a series of events taking place that has remained unknown until now: for the Hour has indeed come; it's just no one counted on the Lord to really break down the barrier between heaven and earth: but he did. But let us look at those who were not men of violence: those who would die for peace: but would not kill for it: the Lamb slain from the Foundation of the World!...)

Another school of thought was waiting for "the Son of David," as in the day when David took Jerusalem with the Sword; though outnumbered heavily. These were men of zeal who believed in "Revolution;" thus in the "external providence" as taking the Kingdom "from the outside" as the "men of violence." In Jesus Day the Zealots were not followers of the Peace-loving Jesus who they despised; wanting an Elijah who would call down fire from heaven on their enemies; or strike them with Plagues as Moses had done; or a great general like David who would defeat Rome somehow in battle; even with the impossible odds that entailed: thus they had a zeal "not according to knowledge" but one of vengeance. These were thus men of Zeal; willing to die fighting against Rome; and it was these "men of violence" who really ended up in control of the Kingdom of Israel: and living by the Sword they all died by it: just as Lord Jesus had said: the Zealots: men of war: and Revolution. Thus we have the "internal" aspect of the "kingdom of David;" as the "psalmist of Israel" as "the musician;" thus we have a Summer of Love season and it's attendant "peace."

The Children of Israel in San Francisco during 1967 had the Summer of Love; but with Israel in Jerusalem during 1967 they had the 6 Days War. The contradistinction between Love and Hate thus has two clear proponents: the Manchild of Israel at the City of St. Francis with its Hippies; the "army of Peace" with Love; and for Israel at the City of Jerusalem with its Hagannah; the "army of War" with Hate. How could two such diametric opposites have happened in the same year at the same time? The answer lies in the "time" of the internal providence in which the Nazarenes of Jesus' day took Jerusalem with a Song as happened in SF with the Hippies; and the "time" of the external providence in which the Warriors of David's Day took Jerusalem with a Sword as happened in Jerusalem with the Hagannah. The curious thing is that both these groups were present as the Nazarenes and Zealots in Jerusalem 1967 years ago: the Nazarenes ended up in SF in 1967: the Zealots ended up in Jerusalem in 1967.

Thus we have those Nazarenes and Zealots of Jesus Day showing up again: in San Francisco with the "hippies" in the position of the Nazarenes in "the Summer of Love" taking the City with a SONG as Jesus and his followers had done; and in Jerusalem with the "hagannah" or soldiers of the modern Israeli army in the position of the Zealots in "the 6 Days War" taking the City with a SWORD as David and his followers had done. But this is extraordinary; for in this Time of 1967 two times are portrayed happening as "side by side;" that is: at "one and the same time" for what happened in David's time occurred again in Jerusalem; and what happened in Jesus' time occurred again in San Francisco: thus we now see that as soon as Israel broke the yoke of Mecca off of it's shoulder by taking Jerusalem in 1967, half way around the world San Francisco suddenly becomes a "New Mecca" and all, in 1967, make what became known as "The Pilgrimage:" Flowers in your hair: The "Children of Israel" had arrived!

In the prophetic light, what can then be said to have really happened? At the internal and external levels we have two armies: but in these two times we have two events: for in San Francisco we have the appearance of the Nazarenes or "followers" of the Son of Joseph's "day of Peace," whose followers sang when Lord Jesus entered the Golden Gate of the Wall of Jerusalem on Palm Sunday: the Lamb and this "army of Nazarenes" taking Jerusalem with a Song on that Day as seen happening again in Love and his "army of Hippies" taking over San Francisco with a Song in 1967 in their "Summer" of "Love" and Peace: while AT THE SAME TIME we have the appearance of the Zealots or "followers" of the Son of David's "day of War" whose followers sang when they took Jerusalem with a Sword in 1967 in their "6 Days" of Hate and "War;" just as David had taken Jerusalem with the sword long ago.

Thus the "two times" arrived: at one time. But for us in San Francisco it was the Visitation of God; just as it was for those in Jerusalem; for when Israel broke the yoke of Mecca off of Jerusalem in 1967, suddenly San Francisco turned into the New Mecca! Thus the "direction" of the "New Jerusalem" suddenly included the City of Saint Francis: the City of San Francisco. But this means that there is only "One Israel." And it also means that one generation in the Name of Love had entered the Golden Gate in the City of St. Francis: just as Lord Jesus entered the Golden gate in Jerusalem on Palm Sunday all those years ago: thus something was "reenacted;" namely, one from that generation who would be chosen to represent it in the Name of God: the Manchild of Israel. This was the hidden Fire; this was the Rapture; face to face with the God who is Love; the One they called "The Mighty God."

But what did this portend? Nothing less than the three cities of Faith for each religion; for the Jews; again; Jerusalem; for the Muslims: again; Mecca: and for Christianity: the City of St. Francis. God touched each of these cities in 1967: and definitively for the Children of all the tribes of Israel: including those who were gathered in SF at "the gathering of the 12 Tribes of the Children of Israel." Our internal Exodus was then seen 42 months later at Beth-El; Woodstock as it was called: with roughly the same number as when Israel left Egypt long ago in their external Exodus.

To further view the evidence we must see the foregoing information in light of the events mentioned in the 11th chapter of the Revelation of St. John the Divine. We clearly see where the internal realm was: at the City of St. Francis with Peace and Love; the external was at Jerusalem with War and Hatred; so who were the actual "gentiles" and "jews" here? The Times of the Gentiles had arrived! Yet now had come the Last Days and the beginning of Sorrows.

And the love of many has grown cold: but for those who know: it was the rapture; nor is there another; save now; at the discovery of what we thought was lost: but now hath been found...the Children of the Sixties are the Children of the Resurrection
