The Mansion of Terror Haunted House returns for it's 5th season this Sept 19th in North Austin, Texas. Even though The Mansion of Terror was rated American's scariest Haunted House by Lionsgate Films, the cast and crew are not sitting back and resting on their laurels. Instead they are actively getting the Central Texas community involved in building and operating the Haunted House.
"Each year we employ over 70 plus local Austin actors, make up artists, carpenters and construction people to help build our Haunted House. It's this local feel that keeps people coming back year after year" says owner Norm Glenn. The Mansion of Terror folks also love to give back to the Austin Community by partnering with local charities.
"We are in talks right now with several local Austin charities. There is no sense in running a business here in Austin if you can't give back to the people who need it in our local community" Glenn says.
The cast and crew have been busy this year creating two unique Haunted Houses inside the main Haunted House. One is called Slaughter Circus and features a truly twisted take on an 1800's Sideshow and Circus. Complete with claustrophobic passageways, things that go bump in the night and more. But don't worry their tagline is "Absolutely No Clowns." The second Haunted House is called Blood Frenzy and takes the claustrophobic environments and chaos a step further. However the cast and crew are holding the details close to their chests and not revealing any details at this time.
