Environmental Festival to be Held in Laguna Beach, CA

Endangered Planet Foundation, in partnership with the Festival of Arts, Laguna Beach Magazine, and the Laguna Beach Visitors and Conference Bureau, presents One Earth/One Dream, the West Coast's premier environmental festival, October 2 - 5, 2008 at the Festival of Arts grounds in Laguna Beach.

Several thousands people per day people are expected to attend this Southern California festival, which celebrates the earth and the transition being made toward a sustainable future through interactive workshops, world-renowned speakers, seminars, live entertainment, film, art, children's workshops, fashion shows and more than 50 green exhibitors.

"The goal of One Earth/One Dream is to increase awareness of our impact on the planet and explore what each of us can do to sustain our only home," explains Charles Michael Murray, founder and CEO of Endangered Planet Foundation. "We want to seed the vision that we are in humankind's finest hour. We have the technologies and the brain power and compassion to engage in local and global solutions - together. We expect to showcase by celebration and dialog that we can make this a better place for our children's grandchildren."

One Earth/One Dream includes two main events: "Life on the Edge" symposium October 2 – 5 and "Autumnal Green Festival" October 3 – 5.

"Life on the Edge" symposium is held in the Festival of Arts' Forum Theater and features renowned guest speakers (including Former UN Ambassador Anwarul Chowdhury and National Geographic EcoAmbassador Chris Jordan), panel discussions on topics ranging from sustainable building design to innovations in fuel cell technology, film screenings (including The 11th Hour and Pangea Day), and more.

"Autumnal Green Festival" is a three day event held on the Festival of Arts grounds (including the Irvine Bowl Amphitheater). The Festival features health, wellness and nutrition presentations, live music, children’s events and performances, Art Miles Mural Project, and more than 50 green exhibitors offering a variety of innovative products, information and demonstrations.
