Survey results from the American Board of Medical Specialties find Dr. House most loved and hated TV doctor

Consumers Weigh in on Which TV Doc They Would Want as Their Own

Gregory House (from the FOX program House) is America’s most loved and most hated TV doctor and the medical professional most people would want as their own doctor, according to a survey conducted by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). The survey found that many people responded positively to Dr. House’s medical capabilities, while at the same time, many respondents didn’t like him because of his gruff bedside manner and poor communication skills.

New research from the University of New Hampshire shows that men, in particular, are influenced by television commercials that more often portray them in a career environment than doing domestic duties.

Stan Lee is accustomed to writing comic books, but on this day at the Hollywood studios of Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic, he helped record one for students who struggle with reading.

Stan Lee, world-famous creator of Spider-Man, Iron Man, X-Men and The Incredible Hulk, is accustomed to writing comic books, but on this day at the Hollywood studios of Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D), he helped record one for students who struggle with reading because of a visual impairment or learning disability such as dyslexia.

Magicians of all ages are going back to kindergarten. Why?

Ceremonial Magicians who work with the Kabbalah need to learn Hebrew, "the sacred language." But until now they have been wasting their money, and more importantly their time, struggling with complex courses that just don't work. Most beginners never make it past Lesson 2 in any Hebrew course. This can happen because the book is using small or bad print, outdated techniques, and lacks easy-to-use audio and video and interactivity, or it just moves too fast for the average learner.
