Astrology, of course, is much more than your sun sign as printed in the daily newspaper. In this article, Mohan Potukuchi explains how to incorporate birthstones into astrology.

Astrology And Birthstones

by Mohan Potukuchi

Gems have been used from times immemorial for luck and as good omens.Kings and queens are reported to be craving for the possession and pursuit of beautiful gems and stones. Our forefathers have used them to ward off evil spirits, to bring luck and favor as well as to prolong their longevity. Some astrologers prescribe wearing of appropriate gemstones or birthstones as they are commonly called as remedial measures for mitigating the malefic effects of some planets. This is akin to a doctor prescribing medicines to a patient.

Most of us know something about our astrological sun sign. However, as this article illustrates, the moon plays an important role in astrology as well.

The Importance of the Moon in Astrology

by Li Ming Wong

Many people believe that astrology only concerns the sun. This is due to the Western world view of astrology, which has taken on the form of Zodiac horoscopes. However, in truth the study of astrology goes well beyond sun signs.

Princess Diana’s Numerology

First published in the September 17, 1997 edition of ESP Magazine

by Christine Hall

Numerology is the study of the numbers that effect us at all times during the course of our lives. These numbers can be understood and explained through the images of the Tarot cards. During the week after the death the Princess of Wales, I began to look at the numbers concerning both her life and her death. What I found was very interesting, not only because of what it told me about the princess, but because of what it told me about humanity in the 1990s.

Last December, writer Christine Hall published an article in a local newspaper about the astrological outlook for the year 2001. In light of the events of the last couple of weeks, some of her predictions have taken on an eerie aura – so we’re republishing the article here for your perusal...

The Astrology Of George W. Bush’s First Year

by Christine Hall

In preparation for the new year, I dusted off my astrology books and took a look at what the stars might hold in store for us as we move into the first year of the new millennium. Try as I might, I can’t find many good omens for the upcoming year, making this a good time to remember the old adage: “That which doesn’t kill you will only serve to make you stronger.”

What The Numbers Say About September 11, 2001

by Christine Hall

September 11th has always been a special day for me because it’s my father’s birthday. If he was alive, he would have turned seventy on the day that four highjacked airliners wrecked havoc on New York City, Washington, D.C., and rural Pennsylvania. Because of this personal connection, I know some rather trivial things about this date. For example, I know that this year Christmas will fall on a Tuesday, because September 11th and Christmas Day always fall on the same day of the week.

The Year That Was & The Year That Will Be

by Christine Hall

A little over a year ago, I dusted off my astrology books to see what the stars would say about 2001 for this column. Looking back, the accuracy was downright frightening. The economy would be a roller coaster ride, I wrote, the situation in Israel would continue to deteriorate, there was a good chance of war or wars, and terrorism would escalate across the globe and possibly might hit within the boundaries of the United States.

Editors Note: This column was originally published around the first of January in "ESP Magazine," a weekly entertainment magazine published in Greensboro, North Carolina. Even though much of the information contained herein is already dated, we feel that it still serves as a warning for all of those who are concerned about Dubya's Folly.

Numerology, Astrology and the Prospects for War

by Christine Hall

As we move into the new year sabers are rattling and war drums are being pounded around the world. Our government is amassing enough fire power in the Persian Gulf to bring intelligent life in the region to a complete halt, the North Koreans are threatening (presumably nuclear) war if the world community places economic sanctions on their mismanaged economy, and the Israelis and Palestinians are no closer to peace than they were a year ago. The whole world, it seems, is preparing for something akin to World War III.

The Stars and the Economy

by Christine Hall

Trying to predict economic forces using star charts can be a rather complicated affair, but there are a few key indicators we can look at for a quick read on business, money and fortune.
