By registering and becoming a member of AlternativeApproaches.com, you can post to our Community Forums, send private messages to other members, add comments to our articles, and submit events to our Calendar. In addition, members can post Reader Reviews of books, movies and CDs. Members can also submit articles for consideration directly from our site, bypassing the normal submission channels. Only members can participate in our contests.

Absolutely not! During the nearly seven years that we've been publishing, we've gained a reputation of always protecting our readers' privacy. We will share your email address with absolutely no one, and you will not receive any emails from us, unless we need to contact you specifically concerning your account. This is why we still require people who wish to receive our Newsletter to sign-up for a subscription separately, and why we keep our Newsletter subscription list separate from our members list. Subscribers to our newsletter, by the way, only receive our newsletter and nothing else. We get enough spam here at AlternativeApproaches.com, and we don't want to contribute any spam to your inbox.

First, make sure that you're logging-in correctly. Remember, user names and passwords are case sensitive. If this doesn't help, click on "Log-in Problems" in the Log-In box near the top of the left column. There, you will be prompted to type your user name and click the Send button, and an e-mail message will be sent to you with a 'confirmation code'. After you receive the confirmation code, re-type your user name and the 'confirmation code' into this form. After this form has been submitted, a new password will be generated and mailed to you.

At this time we are not set up for users to change their user names from the "My Account" setting on our board. However, you can change your user name by registering again, using the user name that you desire. Remember, using this method, your old account with your old user name will still be open.

At present, registration has been disabled due to security problems. The site is currently set us so that registration is not needed to use any of the site's features. In the future, when we reactivate our forum, we will again allow registration on our site.
