Come with us, if you will, to a magickal place in Tennessee, where the serpent mound is home for dragons and faries - and where magick is always afoot.
In the Wee Hour with the Priest of the Serpent Mound
by Tantra Bensko
"S" is the Keeper of a large and secret Serpent Mound in rural Tennessee. He invited me to stay on the mound, and he told me its fascinating story: as soon as he came to this spot as a young man, he knew he was supposed to be here. The place had a 17-foot deep pit mine, which he filled-in and healed, using over 20,000 dump trucks of fill. Since then, he opened his land to many folks to live-on for free. He has aided countless people in understanding and living the Old Ways.

This writer takes exception to calling Wicca or other pagan systems "earth religions," since nature pervades the entire universe, not only our tiny planet.
Nature Vs Supernature In Wicca
by Esra Free
excerpted from WICCA 404: Advanced Goddess Thealogy
Whether it is being lovingly described by its adherents, tallied as a social movement by impartial statisticians, or even decried as "satanic" by Christian apologists, Wicca is almost universally (alongside its many modern neo-pagan cousins) labeled an "earth religion." Wicca is most certainly, in practice, a religion closely aligned with the living Earth and her seasonal changes, which lie at the root of our most important celebrations, the Sabbats. But to call Wicca an "earth religion" and stop there is to seek the whole of Wicca's thealogical foundation in, and to limit the scope of its meaning and applicability to, the details of human existence on this one tiny planet floating like an anonymous raindrop in the vast ocean of stars, quasars, nebulae and galaxies we now know the universe to be.

With Summer Solstice just around the corner, here is a simple way for pagans, newcomers and the experienced alike, to celebrate Midsummer.
A Midsummer Wicca Sabbat
by Rose Ariadne
Celebrating the Sabbats is extremely important for any Witch. It is important to "recharge" your Magick batteries throughout the year, and that is one of the purposes for Sabbats. Sabbats are a time to relax and take a break from your Magick work.

From the Freemasons and the Templars to the priesthood of the ancient Egyptians, secret societies have always been with us. In this article, writer Philip Gardiner explains the hows and whys. He also explains why we should consider listening to ancient voices from the past.
Secrets of the Stars: Tracing the Origins of Ancient Cults and Cabals
by Philip Gardiner
Author of Secret Societies: Gardiner's Forbidden Knowledge, Revelations About the Freemasons, Templars, Illuminati, Nazis, and the Serpent Cults
Man collects into groups, like schools of fish and flocks of birds. These groups become religions, secret societies, governments and cults. The reasons for these groupings are the same as it is for animals banding together. We come together for protection against predators, for strength in numbers. Whether you are a Freemason or a Boy Scout, the reason you join forces with others of like-race and like-mind is to gain strength and protection.

Research has found that the book of Genesis contains hidden instructions for tuning an ancient musical instrument. It was found that Genesis Chapter 5 contained information on audible frequencies (Hz) hidden as the ages of ancient Biblical figures including Adam, Noah and the Bible’s oldest man, Methusalah.

Since being discovered by Oprah Winfrey, "The Secret" has been bringing New Age ideas to the mainstream. Dean Lacono explains how delving into "The Secret" may be a first step into serious magick.
Law Of Attraction Is Magick
by Dean Lacono
To many, the results of consciously using the Law of Attraction seem like magick. I've heard many teleseminars, the presenters in the movie The Secret and reading books on intention and Law of Attraction equate the results of manifestation to being like magick.

It's called a Book of Shadows, or a Grimoire, and it's an essential part of any magickal practice. This simple guide explains why every magician should keep and maintain a working book of shadows and how to go about creating one.
Creating a Grimoire- How to Make a Working Spell Book
by Will Grundy
If you practice any form of magic, you should be aware of the amount of learning such things require. We as humans are not the best at remembering off hand everything we read or do. Just as children at school need work books to keep track of notes and homework, we occultisms also need note books to help keep a record of what work we do, or simply what we are learning.

In addition to being featured in the movie version of "The Da Vinci Code," Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland has a deep connection in it's symbolism to the ancient Celts and to the Knights Templar.
Rosslyn Chapel: A Legacy in Stone
by Dr. Karen Ralls
author of The Knights Templar Encyclopedia
Near Edinburgh, Scotland, stands Rosslyn Chapel, one of the most ornately-carved 15th century medieval stone chapels in all of Europe. In more recent times, Rosslyn has become more widely known, as the building and its history were featured in the movie, The Da Vinci Code. Although Rosslyn is officially known as the Collegiate Church of St. Matthew and is today an active Scottish Episcopal church, the chapel retains its special historic legacy for all to see and experience.

Rosslyn Chapel music score 'decoded'
Carvings on the 600 hundred year old Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland represent a coded form of a musical score, the father-and-son team of Tommy J. Mitchell, 75 and Stuart Mitchell, 41, say.
"Rosslyn Chapel holds a musical mystery in its architecture and design. At one end of the chapel, on the ceiling are 4 cross-sections of arches containing elaborate symbolic designs on each array of cubes (in actual fact they are rectangles mostly). The 'cubes' are attached to the arches in a musically sequential way. And to confirm this, at the ends of each arch there is an angel playing a musical instrument of a different kind. After 27 years of study and research by [Stuart's father Thomas J. Mitchell], we believe he has found the pitches and tonality that match the symbols on each cube, revealing its melodic and harmonic progressions," said T. Mitchell on a statement posted on his website.
