Hale Dwoskin, featured teacher in "The Secret" and author of the New York Times best seller "The Sedona Method," reveals how to avoid fear, anxiety and depression that can otherwise easily arise in people during the current economic recession.
Why Economic Recession Shouldn't Mean Emotional Depression
It's now fairly apparent that the United States is in a recession. About 74 percent of Americans agreed to that statement back in March, while 36 percent believe it is somewhat likely that the United States' economy will slip into a full-fledged depression in the next two years (23 percent thought it was very likely that this would occur), according to a USA Today/Gallup poll.

Our friend Giten is back with some great thoughts on the anima and animus. Did you know that a person's love interest will often resemble their inner "other sex?"

This article not only helps us to understand what we need to do to live a more conscious life, it also offer some great techniques to help us remain mindful of our goals.
Consciousness, Systems, and Evolution
by Michael the LightLounge Guy
The level of society's group consciousness determines the style of systems it develops, whether political, economic, legal, religious, or philosophical. This applies to personal and interpersonal relationships as well. As we step higher in awareness, the old, denser forms crack, crumble, and vanish. New, lighter forms replace them.

A few weeks ago, when we read "How to Hear the Voice of God" for a review, we were impressed. So much so, that we arranged an interview with Susan Shumsky, the book's author.
Susan Shumsky's Divine Connection
interview by Christine Hall
Several weeks back, when I reviewed Susan Shumsky's latest book, How to Hear the Voice of God, I was impressed. Although Ms. Shumsky has written and published at least four other books, and is quite well-known on the upscale side of the New Age circuit, as a lecturer and teacher, I had never before been exposed to her work.

Are you part of the meditation movement that is quietly changing the world? Meditation is simple, but you must practice meditation if you want to have a meditation practice.
Meditation is a Quiet Revolution
by Jeanie Marshall
For over 30 years, I have been meditating. For almost as many years, in workshops, consultations, friendly conversations, and writing, I have been encouraging, teaching, or leading people to meditate and create quiet times. During this time, the world has changed considerably, and so have I. My most important learning is: everyone is different. Certainly there are commonalities in meditating, but each individual is unique. I consider that meditation is one of the most empowering practices that anyone can engage in.

"Taking life personally is the ego dancing with Maya - a dance of shadows, unaware of their true nature. It's extremely difficult, maybe impossible, for the ego to fathom this, because the ego imagines itself as real. That is its nature. However, in reality it is at one with Maya and is an illusory identity."

or Beyond the Walls of the Individual and Collective Personality

"Everything that has a beginning comes to an end." Marcus Fabius Quintilian (35 CE -100 CE)
Marcus Quintilian was born about 600 years after the Buddha, but he came to the same conclusion as the Enlightened One. Buddha said it a little differently — that all forms pass — but the meaning is the same. Until recently, most people agreed with this, except they thought that the stars and the soul were eternal. Now we know that stars are born, live, and die just like the rest of us. Whether the soul is eternal is still debatable.

According to Sean Bradley, many New Age healers could learn a valuable lesson from Jesus' words in the Bible - if only they'd listen.
Physician Heal Thyself
by Sean Bradley
How many times in our life have we been faced with the words, "Physician Heal Thyself?" Yes, these are challenging words for all who embrace truth, but none more so than the healer or holistic therapist who engages in spiritual healing or holistic therapies with their client groups.
