Hope for the Future - The Emergence of the World Teacher
by Sheila Forester
At the dawning of every new age, a great teacher is sent into the world to inaugurate that age and set in motion ideas which will lead humanity into its next step of spiritual development. Over 2,600 years ago, it was prophesized by Gautama Buddha that at the beginning of our current age a teacher would come into the world. A Buddha, like himself, would inspire and guide humanity into the creation of a brilliant golden civilization based on unity, justice and sharing. Now, in fact, all major religions are expecting the coming of a great one, though they call him by different names. The Christians await the Christ; Jews the Messiah; Hindus are looking for Krishna; Buddhists anticipate Buddha; and Muslims are awaiting the Imam Mahdi. Many believe these are different names for the same individual. Students of esoteric tradition know him as Lord Maitreya, and they, too, expect his imminent emergence.

The Great Mouse Hunt
by Christine Hall
Here in rural North Carolina the mice are brown, fat, furry and cute, not like the dirty-looking gray mice that live in urban areas. They're also a constant problem. They come inside from the tobacco and alfalfa fields that surround our old house, especially in the fall when they're attracted by the warmth.

Transmission Meditation
by Sheila Forester
Many of us would agree that a great spiritual transformation is taking place on our planet. Millions of people are awakening to the reality that we are not just our physical selves, and beginning to discover and nuture our divine, spiritual aspect. We are taking our spirituality into our own hands and seriously searching for ways to bring more love, peace and wisdom into our lives. In this process we recognize that two great “royal roads” towards spiritual growth are meditation and service. It is with joy that I share with you a form of meditation which brings these two activities – meditation and service – into one dynamic endeavor. That form of meditation is Transmission Meditation. It combines two great yogas; laya yoga, the yoga of service and karma yoga, the yoga of the chakras. Either one is an effective agent in spiritual advancement; together they are incredibly powerful.

15 Suggestions That ReMind and Reduce Stress
by Dr. Darryl Pokea
- Be good to yourself taking a few minutes in the morning to meditate. Sit quietly. Focus on healing scenery outside, sounds of nature or the sounds of life of people going about their tasks. Observe the peaceful rhythm of your breathing and the rhythms of life around you. Weather permitting take a slow quiet walk. Relax and eat breakfast slowly. Any task can be a relaxing meditation including showering, brushing of teeth, etc. just do it mindfully.
- While warming your car, pay attention to your breathing. Realize your breathing is always with you as you begin your public day. Let it be full and relaxed.
- When driving, let go of body tension. Let the rhythms and vibrations of the car and road replace body tensions such as shoulders raised, stomach tight, hands too tight gripping the steering wheel.

Gratefulness and Prosperity
by Dr. Darryl Pokea
We are living in times of radical paradigm shifts where the bias and meaning of our words, themselves, are being questioned, sometimes denied, and frequently ignored in our busy life style. Misconceptions about prosperity are frequent and too often associated with wealth. Gratitude is not commonly practiced, but its absence frequently complained about. For me, gratitude and prosperity may be viewed as interconnected states of being. When our minds are resonating with gratitude the gate is fully opened to the flow of prosperity.

The Age of Miracles
by Sheila Forester
Mysterious Crosses of Light. Hindu statues that drink milk. Visions of the Virgin Mary. Extraordinary Healing Waters. Since the late 1980?s exceptional events, often referred to as miracles, have been occurring in rapid, large-scale succession. These miracles defy rational interpretation. They cannot be explained by modern science, yet they have caused profound changes in the lives of both believers and non-believers.

Transcending the Cosmic View Beyond the Veil
by Michael Lamas
You embrace the Cosmic view whenever you see that everything is passing: Cosmic time spans billions of years; individual forms, even galaxies, last for a moment. If, like a Broadway show, the universe begins and ends, then ultimately, nothing within it matters.

"Each cell in our body is its own entity, its own eco-system, its own earth." - Dr. Darryl Pokea, 2003
A Gaia Experience
by Dr. Darryl Pokea
I went outdoors worried about accomplishing many tasks. I often like to think about my talks while working outside. This particular day, the mental preparation for the talks and the physical chores were all overwhelming. I thought, "I've got to get from here to there and get the work done." My body felt tight, but I ignored it. I wasn't attentive to the sounds, the scenery, the breeze, or the light. I was only focused on getting to the picnic table to tighten its bolts and stop it from wobbling. I felt just as shaky as the picnic table and no thoughts were coming to me about the subject matter of my talks. "I need to get all this done," I thought. I felt angry, hurried, and irritated that I had so much to do.

Recognizing The Voice Of Healing In The Twenty-First Century
by Dr. Darryl Pokea
We need to wake up. For this author the most important element to understand energy transformation in healing is to realize the powerful effects our words and thoughts have on one another. Each one of us can have more of a negative impact than we want to be aware of. This causes damage. Equally important, we each have the potential to have profound positive effects on one another. This causes healing.

Gravel-Eating Ducks and Mind Envelopes:
Staying Spiritual in a Mental World
by Michael Lamas
As humans, we think we're so smart. Well, maybe we are. We can snap close-up images of Neptune's moon Triton. We've built small miracles-in-a-box that we call computers. Undoubtedly, we can out-perform all other Earth creatures with our techno-wizardry thanks to the collective intelligence of our brains. That, however, doesn't rule out the possibility that we have a gigantic blind spot lodged between our ears. This spot affects both society and the individual, including our spirituality, in the subtlest (and sometimes, grossest) ways. Here is a true story that shows how this mechanism works.
