Cinema Libre Studio announces release of social issue titles and new blog.
Social Issue Films Fill Niche
Interest in social issue documentaries as a tool for advocacy is seemingly on the rise. Online sales and submissions to film distributors is on the rise while festivals such as SilverDocs and Full Frame are including panel discussion focused on social activism and marketing. Cinema Libre Studio, a leader in the distribution of social issue titles, is currently in production on a feature length documentary on the true roots of poverty. To begin building its coalition building, the company will launch an interactive blog, calling it: "CinemActivist."

"Mississippi Queen" Documentary Looks At Homosexuality and Religion
Mississippi Queen, a new documentary by filmmaker and producer Paige Williams, will begin production in Mississippi, Alabama, Missouri, Memphis and Louisiana May 14 - 31st. The film explores the complex and unique relationship between the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) community and the ex-gay ministry in the South. Mississippi Queen provides two compelling views of the controversial topic of homosexuality and Christianity.

Inner Earth Film Project Visits Monstrous, Culturally Significant Caves in Belize
To ancient Mayans, the monstrous jungle caves known as Actun Tunichil Muknal represented the underworld.
But to a group of videographers and archaeologists who visited the caves in modern-day Belize last December, it was just another day at the office. They were there for a week to shoot the latest segment of the Inner Earth Film Project, a work in progress documenting the most spectacular, unusual and remote caves on Earth.
