Israel and The Land
by Babu Ranganathan
The best way for Israel to stop terrorist attacks in its territory is by first ceasing its occupation of all Arab land it captured in the 1967 War which, admittedly, Israel did out of self-defense. Israel was correct in defending itself.

Energy Grid - A War Game?
Coco Tralla LLC announces a seven book series that claims to stop accelerated global warming, cease non-stop wars and thwart future nuclear fallout by the most powerful industrial military complex in the world. Recently released, Book One, Light Vision, does not contain the controversial findings of Book Two, Energy Grid. (Book One is a novel about sex magick and Italian witches in Rome, Italy.) Strange as it may seem, according to Coco, Book One purposefully does not document findings about the grid or invisible warfare because, prior to the release of Book Two, she aims to position herself as a leader in increasing public awareness and therefore circumvent the destructive path of the world's largest industrial military complex.

Troubled Media In Nepal
by Amit Pyakurel
Various forms of media deserving to gain high level of independence for the reformist mechanism are in fact intimidated by an insidious strategy of the government that now is being viewed as commentary critical of the authorities as an attack on the national interest in Nepal. With the onset of the conflict situation in this country, reporters frequently find their access to state and other indigenous information blocked in the name of flimsy security grounds.

Editor's note: We received the following as an email, supposedly from President Bush, today. Although we seriously doubt that this actually came from the White House, we do feel that if our President were to tell the truth on the campaign trail, this is what we'd be hearing. Feel free to pass this on to anyone you know who still hasn't decided how they'll cast their vote.
An E-mail From President Bush

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Law Enforcement:
I was arrested in Kennebunkport, Maine, in 1976 for driving under
the influence of alcohol. I pleaded guilty, paid a fine, and had
my driver's license suspended for 30 days. My Texas driving
record has been "lost" and is not available.

Of Liberals And Patriotism
by Christine Hall
“America, love it or leave it,” was the rallying cry of right wing reactionaries during the bad old days of Vietnam, proudly proclaimed on bumper stickers, t-shirts and person-in-the-street interviews on the evening news.

Unifying Objective
by Bahram Maskanian
How To Defeat And Eradicate The Barbaric Mullahs
We must beware and recognize those who have disguised themselves as
friends preventing us from realizing self-sufficiency and the enormous
power we possess collectively.
Carefully read, watch or listen to their divisive, misleading and
conflict-ridden tactics, comments and suggestions posted on many
Internet forums, newspaper articles and generally spoken by the talking
heads of the mass corporate media. Identify and simply ignore them.
These people are professionals, their job is to scare and discourage
those in the pursuit of freedom and democracy. Their obvious goal is to
divide and conquer. We must identify them and pay no attention to them.

Of States' Rights & Constitutional Amendments
by Christine Hall
President Bush's posturing on a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage is nothing more than a political hustle, a game of three card monte originating in the Oval Office. As if curtailing precious civil liberties and engaging in an immoral war weren't enough, now he's advocating further restrictions of states' rights. By this stage of his administration, almost all dead presidents have turned over in their graves.

Limbaugh to Audience: Can You Hear Me Now?
by Christine Hall
Most likely, Rush Limbaugh's sudden deafness was caused by drug abuse.
It appears that the press fell asleep on this one. Admittedly, hindsight is twenty-twenty, but the folks in the news media seem to have let this story completely pass them by, even though the facts were there from the moment the radio host first announced his oncoming deafness.

U.S. Travel & Justice To Become More Draconian
by Christine Hall
To those of us concerned with such niceties as civil liberties, it's beginning to look like the terrorists have won. Since the falling of the twin towers we've seen Congress pass the Patriot Act, which should be deemed unconstitutional but so far hasn't, with the specter of an even harsher Patriot Act II on the horizon. There have been hundreds, if not thousands, of immigrants, both legal and illegal, rounded-up and held without due process. Prisoners of war are being held in Cuba without regard to the Geneva convention, even while President Bush was demanding that American POWs in Iraq be treated in accordance to the Geneva accords.

China Wants To Choose Next Dalai Lama
by Christine Hall
To the Buddhists of Tibet, reincarnation is not just a belief, but is considered to be a fact. All of the high lamas, the spiritual leaders, are actually chosen by reincarnation. When a lama gets old or is nearing death, he leaves clues as to where and when he'll reincarnate. A search is then undertaken to find the reincarnated lama, to restore him to his station in life.
It's been this way since Buddhism was first introduced to Tibet. The current Dalai Lama, the highest spiritual leader of the Tibetan people, is thought to be fourteenth in a string of reincarnations that began with Dalai Lama number one, who died in 1474. He's also believed to be a manifestation of the Bodhisattva of Compassion, whose name is Chenrezig in Tibetan and Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit.
