Seattle artist and specialist in alternative healing for animals, Rose De Dan has released her 2007 calendar titled, "Cats: Urban Tigers, Shamanic Perceptions 2007." De Dan, founder of Wild Reiki and Shamanic Healing, maintains a healing practice for animals as well as for humans. Sharing her skills as a graphic artist with Alex Guillotte, De Dan uses her own photographs to create exquisite images of cats for each month of the year. Included with each image is a quote that reveals some secret about the mystery of the cat.

WASHINGTON -- The American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit on September 29 to protect the right of veterans and their families to choose religious symbols to engrave on headstones in federal cemeteries. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of two churches and three individuals to compel the government to approve a long-pending application for use of a Wiccan symbol on the headstones of service members.

At least 60 sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) have been reported across Michigan's Upper Peninsula since 1968, but for some time now the region has needed a field investigator certified by the international Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). The Michigan chapter of MUFON recently appointed the UP's only certified field investigator, Lisa A. Shiel, as the State Section Director for the UP as well as the Chief Investigator for the state of Michigan.
