A University of Delaware-led consortium has achieved a record-breaking combined solar cell efficiency of 42.8 percent from sunlight at standard terrestrial conditions, and will team with DuPont in a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency project to transition the lab-scale work to an engineering and manufacturing prototype model.

According to an announcement made by George Takei on a national radio show, a new "Star Trek" movie is in the works - scheduled for release next year.
Press Conference to be Held Thursday on New 'Star Trek 11' Movie
Alternative Approaches has learned that George Takei, who played Sulu on the television show Star Trek, announced on Monday night that a "press conference" will be held on Thursday July 26 regarding the new Star Trek 11 movie. The announcement was made on the radio talk show Coast to Coast AM With George Noory. The movie is scheduled to be released in December 2008.

A team of researchers from the University of Alberta in Edmonton and the University of Quebec at Rimouski have gathered DNA evidence from adult foxes and their offspring that proves that some arctic foxes are mixing it up when it comes to mating.

The suspect being sought by police for making threats against biology lab faculty at a Colorado university now appears to be on the run.
Suspect in Colorado Evolution Threats is Missing
Menachem "Michael" Korn, a member of the Young Earth Creationist group suspected of sending death threats to various biology faculty and others at the University of Colorado at Boulder, is apparently missing. Although police said they will not identify their suspect until an arrest is made, previous reports and comments by University faculty and staff have indicated that Korn is the man in question.
