Firedance Festival is a new age music festival celebrating the history, culture, and spiritual traditions of drums from around the world. Firedance festival is a weekend camping gathering at Magik Morn, home of Wolf Song Gathering, in Janetville, Ontario, 1 hour east of Toronto.
Firedance Festival Highlights will include workshops, rituals, vendors, nightly performances, a bardic competition, a children’s program, and a Revel fire for nighttime dancing and drumming. We are open to all different traditions, and welcome submissions for performances, workshops and rituals.
The Bardic Competition will only have 10 spots, so if you wish to perform, please book your act before the date of August 1st, 2008. Bardic performances are open to any form, song, dance, poetry, not just drumming.
Magik Morn is rough camping only, there are no showers, kitchens, or cabins available, however, the site has a horse farm, beautiful rolling hills, 57 acres of lush natural forests, a swimming creek, walking trails, and many other great activities to experience. There is also a barbeque available, and a cooking fire for campers to use for cooking. There are also onsite outhouses, and port-a-potties for campers use.
Vendors are welcome at no extra cost.
