Okay, to us Pagan type folks, Halloween just has to be the best mainstream holiday, so how could we not support the Halloween Hall of Fame? After all, what's not to like? If you go there, you can vote for your favorite to be inducted into the Halloween Hall of Fame. Unfortunately, as of this writing, Uncle Al isn't in the running. We give it Three out of Five Stars - only marking it down because of the seasonal nature of the site.

This is a very useful site that serves as a link between African Americans and the continent of Africa. History has made it more difficult for black Americans to trace their heritage back to their home continent than for other groups - so a site such as this can help to bridge that gap. We applaud this effort.

This is a very slick site that claims to be a service to the intelligence community. In fact, the slickness of the presentation suggests that folks like you and me are the target audience. Anyway, there's tons of interesting stuff here, and it seems to be updated often. If you're one of those people who think that there's a lot of truth woven into the fiction in "The X Files," or if you think "The Matrix" is based on solid yet secret scientific research, then this site is for you. Four out of Five Stars.

Although we tend to shy away from sites that deal with the UFO phenomenon, we just had to recommend this site. Our recommendation comes not because of the sites informative articles and up-to-date news stories, although there are plenty of those. Mostly we like this site because it contains some of the coolest UFO photos this side of Sirius. The photos alone give this one five out of five stars.

This is the online site for the print publication Mystic Pop Magazine. Unlike many magazines, the entire contents of Mystic Pop are online - and there's lots of good reading here. The quality of the writing compares favorably with "A" list magazines. We highly recommend this site. Five out of Five Stars!

This is a great women’s site, and a big supporter of AlternativeApproaches to boot. The site bills itself as “the award winning community for modern women” and features “romance and love stories, articles of empowerment, inspiration, women’s issues, health, self esteem, advice, horoscopes, chat and stellar recipes.” They also offer free email accounts with a “@ladyfire.com” address. How cool can it get?

This is the online site for the Austrailian print magazine New Dawn, "A Journal of Alternative News & Information." The contents run the gamut from politics to culture to spirituality - all with an alternative bent (meaning they'll tell what the Times won't). Because they need to sell magazines, they only offer online access to about a third of each issues contents - but we all have to pay rent. Four out of Five Stars.

According to the site's operator: "A collection of real alien pictures and real UFO photos collected from around the world." Interesting photos that UFO believers will say prove the existance of UFOs and detractors will say prove nothing. Still, these photos are fun to look at. Three out of five stars.
