This page is maintained by self-proclaimed Bagonaut Egan Sanders, who has taken it on himself to make the public aware of the environmental cost of using disposable plastic shopping bags. Although the site focuses on the plastic bag issue, offering links to companies that sell reusable shopping bags and a "30 day diet" to wean yourself from disposable plastic bags, the site touches on other environmental issues as well. We imagine that most people who frequent Alternative Approaches are concerned about the environment, and do everything possible live a green lifestyle. The site Green Living Ideas is all about helping you to make your choices as environmentally friendly as possible. All aspects of modern life are covered, from air travel to the food you put on your table. Some of the articles seem to be advertisements for companies going after green bucks - but that's not bad. It's nice to see that the capitalists are finally paying attention. We give it Four out of Five Stars.

Long before we started making this planet inhabitable for humans, we were making it difficult for all of the wild creatures who share the Earth with us. If you care about this planet, what we've done to it, and what we continue to do to it, then you should visit this site. The harm that we doing to ourselves is tragic. The harm that we're doing to wildlife is criminal.

Even though this environmental site is just getting started as we write this review, we have great expectations for this site, which features articles, blogs, a forum and a store. Right now, the environment can use all the help it can get. Even though sites like this tend to preach to the choir, they at least offer a place where we can send people when they finally wake up and realize that global warming will not turn the whole country into an endless summer paradise. Since this site is just getting started, we'll leave it unrated for now.

SETAC is the website for the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) is a nonprofit, worldwide professional society comprised of individuals and institutions engaged in:

SETAC's mission is to support the development of principles and practices for protection, enhancement and management of sustainable environmental quality and ecosystem integrity. In other words, it's another "must bookmark" site for those of us who're trying to keep up one ecological issues.

This site is pretty much a clearing house on all news concerning the environment. Basically, it's purpose is to be a tool for grade school teachers to gain information to teach young children about environmental issues. That being said, this is probably one of the first places you should turn if you need up-to-the-minute information about the environmental issue du jour.
