Curse of the Products
Many people don't trust the information on web sites that sell products. However, this web site existed for six years, as the Cancell Home page, before the Test Kit or hypnosis CDs were sold. During that time, thousands of emails were answered without receiving any compensation. However, requested more treatment options, so I researched and presented additional treatments.
With the additional treatments came the treatment selection problem. Most people visiting this web site have some idea of how to select medicine. For most diseases, they can make good treatment selections, but alternative cancer treatments are different from other medicines:

German Clinics
There is a lot of news about German cancer clinics. Although they have one or two therapies that are not available in the United States, most of their therapies can be found here. If you research these clinics you will hear the term electrodermal screening. This is the basis for muscle testing but it is not as reliable as muscle testing due to the verification that is possible with muscle testing by asking the inverse question, see the "Test Kit Proof" section.
Germany has strong restrictions on doctors and even stronger restrictions on supplements than the United States. Persecution of alternative doctors in Germany is very aggressive as demonstrated by the case Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer who has a very successful cancer treatment; just search Google for "Dr Hamer persecution".

Avoid Conflicts
(The following crucial information is repeated a few times on this web site. It is always called the "Conflict Connection.") When using alternative cancer treatments, the greatest threat to your success is treatment conflicts. Some vitamins, minerals, and even herbs are known to conflict with different alternative cancer treatments.
From 1997 to 2001 this web site collected hundreds of case histories. They showed that more than 30% of the responders took substances that conflicted with each other.

Keep it Simple
People who self-medicate are learning that it is wiser not to take so many supplements at once. This allows them to more easily tell which treatments work and which ones don't. They only take a treatment or supplement long enough to tell if it is working. If it is not working, they stop taking it. In this way they can try more treatments and they avoid conflicts.
Continuing to take a treatment because it might be helping even though a cancer is not going into remission, discourages finding the treatment that will work. When a person does a lot of research and decides that they have found a "great" treatment, it is difficult to stop taking it even if the cancer continues. Studies and Papers Columns
The rating in the Studies, Quality of Papers, and Conclusiveness of Papers columns for an alternative cancer treatment is not always an accurate reflection of the quality of the treatment. For example, Cancell (Cantron or Protocel) has a high success rate and many beneficial side-effects, but it was developed by someone in his home laboratory. This put Cancell out of the usual research loop. This prevents college researchers from even hearing about Cantron and Protocel. Therefore, there are very few Cantron or Protocel studies or papers. Cancell was available in the 1950s for testing, but it wasn't until 2003 that its antioxidant ability was tested. It was the most powerful side effect free antioxidant ever tested.

Supplements vs Treatments
You may have read that there are hundreds of alternative treatments, this information has caused a lot of confusion among people who want to try alternative cancer treatments. There is a difference between alternative cancer treatments and supplements that have some anti-cancer effect:
- Alternative cancer treatments work directly on cancer cells.
- Supplements aid your body to make it more healthy and leave it up to the body to take care of the cancer.
Use Differences
If an alternative cancer treatment does not show signs of eliminating cancer cells, the smart patient stops taking it and tries another. There is no reason to continue an alternative cancer treatment that is not doing the trick and there are undetectable compatibility issues that make good sense to discontinue an alternative cancer treatment that is not clearly working.
On the other hand, it is reasonable to continue taking something that is strengthening the body even if cancer cells are not being eliminated. Therefore, smart patients continue to take a supplement even if the cancer does not seem to be in remission.
Manufacturers Create this Confusion
Most alternative cancer treatments cannot be patented, therefore no company can afford the millions required for the FDA clinical trials. The FDA does not allow anyone to make medical claims about a treatment unless the treatment has had an FDA approved clinical trial. Therefore manufacturers make statements about their alternative cancer treatment that make the treatment sound like a nutritional supplement and rely on word of mouth and web sites like this to identify their product as a treatment.
For example, the Paw Paw manufacturer calls Paw Paw a "cell regulator" not a cancer treatment even though it has been studied and developed as a cancer treatment for almost twenty years.

Emotions are Essential
Even conventional doctors agree that emotional damage often results in cancer. Some believe that all cancers have an emotional component. The standard question goes something like this: One year before your diagnoses, did you have a unusually powerful emotional event? Usually the answer is yes. This is likely to be the catalyst of a person's cancer. This emotional event must be dealt with in order for healing to proceed.
Emotional Freedom Techniques |
Before performing the EFT technique perform this check:
- Focus on the negative feeling.
- Ask yourself, “How do I feel about…” (whatever the emotional issue is).
- When you have located this feeling and truly feel its intensity, give it a number from 1 to 10 with 10 being the worst possible feeling.
- Record the number, day, and time on the same pad every day.
- Start tapping while stating the phrase for example, "Even though I am very very sad about loosing my mother, I deeply and completely accept myself."
- Then repeat the key part, "very very sad about loosing my mother" while performing the rest of the tapping.
- Perform the above steps 1 to 4 above.
If after trying the above procedure for a couple of days, the number is not significantly reduced, then tapping is not working for you and you need to try a different approach such as therapy.
See if your progress, as evident by the numbers on the pad tell you that you don't need it so often.

Reoccurrence
If you are actively researching conventional and alternative cancer treatments, you will often run into the five-year survival statistic. Like many statistics, the five-year survival statistic can be misleading. If you have the genes, diet, and lifestyle (stress, anger…) that has caused you to grow tumors, removing the tumors will not prevent you from growing more tumors. To stop growing tumors you must change your diet and lifestyle.
A person who took chemo and suffered the usual debilitating side effects has extremely high motivation to change his or her diet and lifestyle. A person who took a side-effect-free alternative cancer treatment may not feel as strongly motivated and may not make the changes needed to prevent reoccurrence. Therefore, how long a person remains tumor free after taking a cancer treatment is not an accurate measure of the effectiveness of the treatment. It is more likely a measure of how well that person changed their lifestyle.
Multiple Drug-resistant Cells
Most tumors contain a small percentage, approximately 2%, of MDR (multiple drug-resistant) cells. Chemo is not effective against these cells. After the first round of chemo, if the chemo is effective, all of the cells that are not MDR, are destroyed. Since this accounts for the vast majority of the tumor mass, the tumor appears to be effectively destroyed. However, the MDR cells remain and start to multiply. If the cancer reoccurs due to MDR cells, the new tumor is likely to be entirely MDR. The next time chemo is used, none of the cells will be destroyed because they are all MDR. This is why giving chemo after a cancer reoccurs often fails to have any effect. Only alternative health care has treatments that have been shown to be effective against MDR cells. Vitamin C Therapy
Linus Pauling, the Nobel Prize-winning scientist, investigated the possibility of using vitamin C for cancer. One hundred terminal cancer patients were given 10 grams of vitamin C daily (2.5 grams four times per day). They lived an average of 210 days, compared with hospital records of 1,000 "matched controls" (similar patients) who averaged only 50 days. A follow-up showed an even wider gap between the vitamin C and control groups.
Ten grams of vitamin C a day is a tremendous amount. Due to the acid nature of vitamin C, such a large amount it is likely to produce digestion distress unless a buffered type of vitamin C such as Ester-C is used.
Vitamin C is believed to reduce the effectiveness of:

Types of Cancer
Although conventional medicine would have us believe that there is a big difference between the different types of cancers (thus helping to mystify the disease), this contradicts the most basic observations. Cancer cells obtain their energy from fermentation. Normal cells obtain their energy from oxygenation (except muscle cells when they are completely exhausted). This is a tremendous difference. Alternative cancer treatments such as Cancell and Paw Paw target this difference. Conventional cancer medications target fast growing cells. Our immune system contains mostly fast-growing cells. The worst thing to do when you are sick is to destroy your immune system.
Breast Cancer
Breast cancer seems to get special attention and it should because of the terrible treatments that are still being used. For example, the New England Journal of Medicine reported that women who had their entire breast removed (radical mastectomy) didn't live longer than those who opted for the less-invasive lumpectomy, but radical mastectomies are still being performed.
Stomach Cancer and Helicobacter Pylori
Perhaps stomach cancer should get special attention also. There appears to be a link between stomach cancer and the bacteria, helicobacter pylori, which causes ulcers. According to the Trophoblast Theory of Cancer**, anything that repeatedly causes injury and requires the body to go into a chronic healing mode, is likely to cause cancer. A Chinese study which was conducted for more than seven years, studied over 1600 people with helicobacter pylori. None of the patients who were given antibiotics for their helicobacter pylori developed stomach cancer. Six of the patients who were given a placebo did developed stomach cancer.

This web site, alternativecancer.us was recommended, by an Australian cancer support group, to doctors and oncologists. To address such technical readers, the following highly technical information regarding the similarity of all cancer tumors is presented:

Historical Increase in Cancer was Due to Carbohydrates
In August 2004 the results of a study connecting carbohydrate consumption and cancer were released. Researchers interviewed 1,866 women aged 20 to 75 in Mexico City about their diets and found that breast cancer risk rose with carbohydrate consumption. Those who ate the most carbohydrates had more than twice the risk of breast cancer than those who ate the least amount of carbohydrates. The increased risk of breast cancer was seen both in premenopausal and postmenopausal women.
According to the Trophoblast Theory of Cancer**, the theory supported by this web site, cancer is a failure of the pancreas to shut down the fast growing healing cells that are found at the site of chronic injuries. It is well known that our pancreas is overloaded due to the high amount of carbohydrates in the modern diet from sugar and grains causing the pancreas to produce more and more insulin.
The rate of cancer dramatically increased shortly after sugar cane was discovered and became popular. Sugar is the ultimate carbohydrate. It is turned into blood sugar faster than any other food and puts a tremendous strain on the pancreas whose main job is to control blood sugar level. For most of history, man ate few grains and these grains tended to be whole grains. Whole grains have less carbohydrates than milled grains. Today's wheat, even whole wheat, has many more carbohydrates that the grains of old. Wheat with the highest level of carbohydrates (white flour) tastes sweetest.
Avoid Corn and Lose Weight
Corn syrup and perhaps all products that contain corn block the function in our body's that turns off our appetite after we eat enough. Some people suspect this when they notice that corn chips make them gain weight inordinately. To learn if avoiding corn would be an easy weight loss program for you, perform this simple experiment: For one week, do not eat anything that contains corn in any form including corn syrup. After that one week, notice if you are more satisfied with less food.
The food industry figured out that corn increases our appetite and started to add corn syrup to almost all processed foods. The annual per capita consumption of high-fructose corn syrup the worst of the corn products has skyrocketed from less than one pound in 1970 to 60.9 pounds in 2003 (USDA statistics).
General Diet
Cancer cells use glucose (blood sugar) to live and grow. They require eight times more glucose than a normal cell. Therefore, it is important to avoid high levels of glucose in your blood. The best way to do that is to avoid refined sugar. The more green leafy vegetables you can eat the better. See the "Carb Connection" just below.
All food turns into glucose in your blood. The import consideration is glucose level. If you drink fruit juice on an empty stomach, glucose jumps to a high level and cancer cells get a boost. If you spread out the fruit over time and have other foods such as vegetables or meat between servings (or half servings) of fruit, glucose will remain an a more steady level. If you eat the whole fruit instead of the juice, glucose levels rise a bit more slowly.
Cancer cells give off lactic acid and thrive in an acidic environment. Lactic acid is also produced by your muscles when you exercise vigorously. It is what makes you feel tired and ache. That is why most cancer patients feel so tired.
Insulin
Some cancer cells have 10 or 20 times as many insulin receptors on their surfaces as do normal cells. They may use insulin to enhance their growth and increase their absorption of glucose. Eating sugar stimulates the body to make more insulin.
MSG
Recent studies have shown that glutamate (MSG and other excitotoxins) can powerfully stimulate the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas. Just because a food label states "No Added MSG" the food can still have MSG, but it is called: hydrolyzed protein, natural flavor, glutamic acid, and a host of other names.
The term "natural flavors can be misleading as well, and can contain anywhere from 12% to 33% MSG or none at all. The only way to know for sure if a product contains MSG is to write the manufacturer and continue to check back with them frequently because oftentimes, manufacturers will change ingredients in their products." Trans Fats
Reducing the amount of trans fats and partially hydrogenated oils in your diet can help prevent cancer. These oils invade cell walls and destroy the electrical charge of the cell. Without the charge, our cells have difficulty oxygenating. Without oxygen, our cells can only replicate anaerobically as in tumors.
Water
Any of the anti-cancer diets benefit from drinking large amounts of water. See Chlorinated Water in the Warnings section below.
Alkalizing Diet
The theory behind this diet is that a more alkaline body makes it difficult for tumors to grow. Most people are acidic due to our modern diet, but if you have good discipline you can make your body alkaline. You can download this MS Word file of an acid/alkaline food list developed from the alkaline/acid food lists on The Wolfe Clinic** and Essense-of-life** web sites. It is not the acid or alkaline quality of the food, but our bodies reaction to that food that has an acidifying or alkalizing effect on our bodies. For example, a lemon is very acidic, but it has an alkalizing effect on our body when we eat it.
To determine your ph,( from Alkalize for Health):
1. Two or more hours after eating, fill your mouth with saliva and then swallow it.
2. Repeat step 1 to ensure that the saliva is clean.
3. The third time, put some of your saliva onto pH paper.
There are two recommended methods to get fairly accurate reading of one's tissue pH:
- Test your saliva PH in mid afternoon
- Test your urine PH first thing in the morning
The pH of the saliva should be slightly more alkaline than that of the urine. A healthy pH for saliva fluctuates somewhere between 6.6 - 7.0. Urinary pH is always more acidic than the saliva. A normal urinary pH reading in the morning should be somewhere between 6.0-6.4 while in the evening hour a healthy range is considered to be somewhere between 6.4 - 6.8.

WARNING (from Essense-of-life) - People who use an alkalizing diet often take cesium chloride to further increase alkalizing of their body. Cesium chloride can deplete your body of potassium. Many of these people take potassium supplements while taking cesium chloride. Some people eat bananas to increase their potassium intake. One medium banana has about 450 mg. The amount of potassium you need may vary, but athletes who sweat a lot need up to 4000 mg a day of potassium. This is a lot of potassium so you may want to consider purchasing the liquid form** distributed by Essense-of-life which seems to be the highest concentration available.

Budwig Diet
This diet was developed by Dr. Johanna Budwig who was nominated for the noble Prize sixth times. The diet is intended as a preventative as well as an alternative cancer treatment. The diet consists of thoroughly blend the following until there is no standing oil:
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 2-5 tablespoons of flaxseed oil (also written flax seed oil)
- A little cayenne
- Water or milk to make it blend better.
After blending, stir in 1-3 tablespoons of freshly ground flaxseed. Add berries if you wish. Do not heat.

Chemo without Side Effects
There are a number of methods to reduce or eliminate the side effects of chemo:
- Many alternative cancer treatments reduce the side effects of chemo, among the most well known of these are Cantron, Ellagic Acid, mushrooms such as AHCC and MGM-3, and Protocel.
- In theory fasting for two days before taking chemo may protect healthy cells from the side effects of chemo. It is only in the animal test stages, but the testing so far is encouraging. Read the related Science Daily article.
- IPT can eliminate side effects, read the subsection below.
IPT
Consider using chemo without the side effects. Consider using Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT). IPT makes cell membranes more permeable, and increases uptake of drugs into cells. IPT selectively targets tumor cells, which usually have more insulin receptors than normal cells. It also makes tumor cells more susceptible to chemo by modifying cell metabolism. As a result cancer patients can greatly reduce chemo dosage (reduce it to only about 10%) and eliminate most side effects while increasing the effectiveness of chemo. The Absurdity of Conventional Treatments Every year in the United States, more people die from the side effects of pharmaceutical drugs than die in car accidents and cancer treatments are the worst of conventional treatments.
When researching alternative cancer treatments many people turn to PubMed to find research on alternative cancer treatments. If a person discovers that there are none or very few research papers on PubMed for a specific alternative cancer treatment, they often think that the treatment can't be any good. This is a mistake.
The majority of research papers in PubMed are from peer-reviewed journals. That term should really be “peer approved” research papers. In other words some researchers in the cancer area must approve the research paper before the journal will accept the research paper. The problem is that most funding for cancer research comes from grant awarding organizations that are strongly influenced by pharmaceutical companies. Any researcher that approves a paper on an alternative cancer treatment is very likely to be ostracized by the grant awarding organizations. So there is much to lose when a researcher approves a paper on alternative cancer treatments and nothing to gain.

A good example of how Quackwatch operates is this Quackwatch statement:
"IPT (Insulin Potentiation Therapy) is based on the notion that intravenous insulin increases the effect of medications"
The basis of IPT is significantly different. IPT bonds medications to insulin. Since cancer cells have the strongest demand for insulin in the body, the medication goes primarily to cancer cells. Notice how the above Quackwatch statement makes it seem that a patient is merely given insulin with the medication. The difference is tremendous.

My own experience with Stephen Barrett was as follows: in order to have him correct misstatements regarding the testing of Cancell, I mailed Stephen Barrett the NCI test results for Cancell. Despite the fact that I mailed these test results to him three times, he continued to claim that he never received them and that he was unable to view them on my web site. Chemo Causes Metastasis
As reported at the 27th Annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, Dec 2004, (abstract 6014), German investigators from Friedrich-Schiller University in Jena, have shown that taxol (the "gold standard of chemo") causes a massive release of cells into circulation.
Such a release of cancer cells would result in extensive metastasis months or even years later, long after the chemo would be suspected as the cause of the spread of the cancer. This little know horror of conventional cancer treatment needs to be spread far and wide, but it is not even listed in the side effects of taxol.
Androgen Deprivation Can Cause Metastasis
Androgen Deprivation is a popular prostate cancer treatment. The results of a paper published by David Berman, an assistant professor of pathology, urology and oncology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a long list of doctors and which was published in the Oct. 1 issue of Cancer Research, states that using Androgen Deprivation makes it "more likely to spread (prostate cancer cells) throughout the body." Effect of Chemo on Alternative Treatments
Dr Ozell of Turkey documented a 70% success rate for his cancer patients using a water extract of the Nerium Oleander plant. However, patients who had chemotherapy or radiationonly had a 30% success rate.
Chlorinated Water
While taking any alternative cancer treatment, it is essential to avoid any chlorinated water. Most tap water is chlorinated and even some bottled water is chlorinated. It is best to contact the manufacturer to verify that there is no chlorine in their water.
"New, Hopeful" Treatments
Every few months, new treatments appear that, according to their developers, offer new hope for this or that cancer. This occurs because research centers that have something promising receive more funding. Read the first section of the Conventional Cancer Treatments* page.
Doctors with Single Cures
The problems with many doctors is that they tend to find what they consider to be the best treatment and use it on everyone. To understand why this is a poor treatment selection method, go to The Solution - Understand Treatment Selection* page.
"Complimentary" Cancer Treatment Centers
A large number of cancer treating centers have appeared in the past few years that claim to offer alternative or "complimentary" medicine (CAM) along with conventional medicine. I have investigated a number of these centers and found that they only offered the usual conventional cancer treatments plus the least effective alternative techniques such as low fat diets and visualization. When I asked them if they offer any of the well established alternative cancer treatments such as Cancell, Paw Paw, Cesium Chloride, Essiac tea, Hydrazine Sulfate, MGN-3, OPC's, or 714-x, the answer was "no" time after time.
The reason why doctors at these centers will not recommend any of the serious alternative cancer treatments:
From the Office of Technology Assessment United States Congress, Archive of 1990, "Because their practices fall outside of standard medical practice, physicians who offer unconventional cancer treatments are vulnerable to the civil charge of malpractice."
There are many laws that strongly favor the pharmaceutical companies and persecute alternative doctors. The reason for this is simple: there are over 600 registered lobbyists for pharmaceutical companies and they have a lot of money.
If you want to pursue serious alternative cancer treatments, conventional doctors will not help you determine which of the alternative cancer treatments to take. To the contrary, oncologists are highly skilled at talking patients out of taking alternative cancer treatments.
Real Alternative Clinics
There are a few real alternative clinics, however, they exist on the edge of persecution and they don't advertice like the CAM clinics. I can't write about them or call attention to them. You will have to try creative methods to find them. If you want a medical trained professional to assist you, talk to the naturopaths in your area. Safer Testing
AMAS for Early Detection
The antimalignin antibody test, (AMAS) is now available for only $135. The clinical trials using over 4000 patients were completed in 1994, and showed that AMAS is 95% accurate on the first test, and 99% when repeated. The follow-up test is $85 (1998 prices).
The test examines a sample of blood looking for anti-malignin, an antibody that acts against the inner protein layer of a cancer cell, called malignin. However, malignin is not present in an advanced tumor. Therefore, if the test says you have cancer, it is very accurate. If the test says you do not have cancer, you might have a tumor that is in an advanced stage. This test is also useful for monitoring a patient's status in remission.

General Cancer Test Using the HCG Hormone
An alternative to such a dangerous test is a test that measures the rate of cell production by measuring the presence of the human chorionic gonadotrophic (HCG) hormone. If a person is either pregnant, has a serious injury, or has cancer, a simple HCG pregnancy test would be positive. The appearance of HCG at the site of a serious injury is due to the fact that trophoblast cells are the first line healing cells of our body which should be turned off after healing has established itself. Radiation in Medicine
John W. Gofman, M.D., Ph. D. Professor Emeritus, Molecular and Cell Biology University of California, Berkeley and a perhaps the most experienced man on the planet regarding medical radiation performed a study that concluded:
Medical radiation is a highly important cause (probably the principal cause) of cancer mortality in the United States during the Twentieth Century. Medical radiation means, primarily, exposure by xrays (including fluoroscopy and CT scans).
Medical radiation, received even at very low and moderate doses, is an important cause of death from Ischemic Heart Disease; the probable mechanism is radiation-induction of mutations in the coronary arteries, resulting in dysfunctional clones (mini-tumors) of smooth muscle cells.

Immune System Contradiction
There are many treatments and clinics claiming to fight cancer by boosting the immune system. Tumor cells are made by your body, they are not foreign. Your immune system is designed to attack foreign organisms. However, as explained on the Trophoblast Theory of Cancer web site:

Repeated healing can eventually lead to cancer if secretions from the pancreas fail to stop trophoblast cells (used in healing) from multiplying (this is the Trophoblast theory of cancer). If the immune system can be augmented sufficiently to remove most of the bacteria and parasites in the body, the amount of healing happening in the body is greatly reduced. This removes the strain on the pancreas caused by all that healing activity. Now the limited output (due to modern diet) of the pancreas can concentrate on the tumor which is just a large collection of trophoblast cells.
So strengthening the immune system can help the body remove cancer cells, but the connection between the immune system and removing cancer cells is not direct. DNA
Proponents of the immune system approach claim that cancer cells have damaged DNA so the immune system will attack them. This is misleading because only a few of the internal tumor cells have damaged DNA and the tumor is surrounded by cells that do not have damaged DNA.

Benign Tumors
Most benign tumors do not grow with the same mechanism as malignant tumors Benign tumors do not have the high-ATP cells that is typical of malignant tumors. Some are inflammatory in nature and are basically just swellings. Still some people with benign tumors have had success using Cancell (Cantron and Protocel). Also, Paw Paw has many active ingredients some of which may have a positive effect on benign tumors. The advantage of using Paw Paw is in its side effect. If Paw Paw is not able to find any unwanted, fast growing cells to work on, it often gravitates towards the fast growing cells lining the digestive and intestinal system walls. This results in a stomach ache. When people take paw Paw and develop a stomach ache, then know that Paw Paw is not helping them.
Children with Cancer in Hospitals
The medical profession has caused unbelievable laws to be passed that allow doctors to do anything they want to your child with or without your permission. These laws were passed to rescue children from people who held religious beliefs against treatment such as Christian Scientists. Unfortunately, these laws are now being used to prevent parents from treating their children with alternative cancer treatments.
One woman put her son in a Utah children's hospital for cancer. During his short stay, three children died as the result of their first chemo treatment (the deaths were not reported as due to chemo). Two other mothers became terrified that chemo would be given to their children and had to sue the hospital to get their children out.
Hospitals will administer any drug they want with or without your permission. They will take your child away if you disagree with their treatment even if it makes your child worse. You can get the paperwork that you must sign for admission as soon as possible and take it to a lawyer (there is usually a week or two between the decision to hospitalize and the actual hospitalization). At least you will know what rights you are giving up.
Even children not in a hospital are likely to have their treatment controlled by the state and not the parents.

Scientific Proof
In the December 2006 issue of The International Journal of Psychiatry in Medicine. Scientists from the Norwegian University of Science and St. Olav’s Hospital in Trondheim, Norway found that the group that scored higher on sense of humor (all had the same critical condition - kidney failure), “increased their odds for survival by on average of 31 percent.”
